Reiki (ray'-key) is a Japanese healing art that encourages health and wellbeing of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Reiki acts on our life force energy to facilitate the body's natural ability to heal itself. Life force energy is the energetic body that is within us and around us that keeps us alive and well. Reiki balances and harmonizes the body's vital energy through deep relaxation, enabling us to heal and restore.
your reiki treatment
During your Reiki session, you rest fully clothed on a massage table. The Reiki practitioner uses hand positions on or above your body, gently flooding you with the Reiki energy to engage your own self-healing processes.
You might feel sensations of warm radiance and deep repose. Powerful emotions or connection within can surface, and we encourage you to accept whatever comes up for you. Spiritual exploration can blossom in the comfort of one's own pace and design. Reiki can be profoundly relaxing, creating feelings of peace, tranquility and grounding. Reiki can be described as "massage for the soul."
Energy medicine is non-invasive; however, one of its "side effects" can be powerful release of deep imprints that tether us to our lack of wellbeing and to our emotional and spiritual freedoms. Sometimes those releases can be elating and exulting. Other times, they can be challenging. Sometimes deep healing is hard and difficult work! But the safe container is there through Reiki for the process to be honored and embraced. And by clearing the imprints of dis-ease in our energy fields and inside ourselves, we clear the imprints of those difficulties that hold us back from rising above our karma.
